Chinese Developers Can Now Offer Paid Applications to Google Play Users in More Than 130 countries

Google Play is the leading digital marketplace for Android users to explore and buy their preferred mobile applications and games, with its global presence expanding continuously. In the last year alone, we have broadened the range of countries where app developers can register as merchants on Google Play, now encompassing a total of 60 countries. The most recent additions to this list include Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Pakistan, Puerto Rico, Qatar, and Venezuela.

In our ongoing commitment, we are thrilled to unveil the introduction of merchant support in China. This exciting development empowers local developers to expand their reach and offer their apps to Google Play users across over 130 countries. Chinese developers can now effortlessly provide both free and paid applications through diverse monetization strategies, such as in-app purchases and subscriptions. To ensure seamless transactions, revenue generated on Google Play will be transferred directly to developers' Chinese bank accounts via USD wire transfers.
